“Distance Without Silence”
These prints are the culmination of my response to the constant dissonance of 2020, needing to keep the spread of deadly virus well beyond arm’s length, pared with the need to speak up against the spread of disinformation, hatred, and petulance. Science-based facts have given me the wherewithal to stay home and distanced, but living with multiple autoimmune disorders, placing me in the high-risk population for Coronavirus, has refused me the option to weigh risk and participate in Black Lives Matter protests or feel safe speaking up against anti-maskers and the deadly risk their ignorance poses to the population at large.
As I have been in full quarantine since March 13, 2020, my work has been a direct effort to battle isolation while maintaining a voice, distanced without silence, and redirect constricted energy and anger into positive influence. Most of these prints have been created to help raise funds for causes close to my heart: individuals impacted disproportionately be the pandemic, volunteer medics live-streaming BLM protests who need protective equipment replaced, and the Biden-Harris campaign.
Stay home. Stay safe. Mask up, please.
Artistic statements are available for each print in the Chimera Press shop.
